Happy (Early) Birthday!

This weekend we celebrated with a Princess and Superhero themed Birthday Party at Bouncing Bears to celebrate Reese's upcoming 2nd Birthday and Ashton's 5th Birthday.  Even though we still have a few weeks until Reese's actual day and a month until Ashton's, I wanted to have their party early as their little brother will most likely be making his debute sooner rather than later according to the doctor.  So Saturday we headed out to the bounce place and let the kids have a great time.  Last year I did their party at the house, and while I loved that party, this year I decided to make it easier on everyone and have it somewhere else.  Ashton picked "the bounce place" and Reese had a great time.  Sorry for so many pictures, but didn't want to leave any out.  And thank you to my photographers who ran around snapping pictures so I could stay off my feet!

Holiday Weekend Fun

While the rest of my family headed to New Orleans to celebrate my cousin Shannon's wedding, we stayed put in H-Town since my doctor is not very keen on me traveling with six weeks until D-Day.  It has been a beautiful weekend that we have spent mostly outside.  There has been a lot of pool time, but there has also been a lot of other fun with the basics, a water hose and then some shaving cream.  I love these too!  Can't wait for their little brother to join in the mix....

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day weekend.  It started on Thursday when Ashton's school had Muffins with Mom where Molly, Mimi and I all got to join Ashton at school for breakfast and then we got to go to chapel.  Ashton gave me a sweet bookmark that he answered questions about me that his teacher's asked (that is another post that will come soon).  We had a great time in chapel watching Ashton sing and oh yes, dance, in the church pews...his teachers told me that is his favorite time of the day.

Friday Molly and Grandpa kept the kids and had a great time playing while Casey and I worked.  Saturday my sweet husband and father in law built me some shelves in my bathroom I have been asking for.  Perfect Mother's Day gift!  The kids and I baked cookies for Ashton's Birthday celebration at school (they celebrated it early since he has a summer Birthday).

Sunday Morning Molly and and Grandpa loaded up to head back home, but not before giving me an adorable picture frame of the kids holding signs.  I LOVED it!  Later that day Mo, Mimi, Capt Mark, Jac, Cash, Walker and Poppop (Bill) came over for lunch.  It was a gorgeous day outside which is where we spent most of it.  Casey, Ashton, Mark and Walker all went swimming.  Unfortunately I did not do a good job of taking pictures (what else is new).  I have none of Grandpa & Molly or Walker.  But here are a few.  What a great Mother's day...hard to believe next year I will have another sweet little boy to love on!

Happy Easter

We had a fantastic Easter Day. We got up and went to church, the early service at 7:30am and then headed to Mom and Dad's for a delicious breakfast. Luckily the Easter Bunny had found his way to Mo & Mimi's house so Reese and Ashton were so excited. We headed home later and thankfully the bunny had made his way their too. We were so fortunate to have Molly and Grandpa in town to spend the weekend with us as well which made the weekend that much better. I tried to get a few family pictures but Ms. Reese decided sticking her tongue out and making silly faces was better.

Good Friday

It was a GREAT Good Friday. Thanks to Mark and Casey for boiling crawfish and frying fish and oysters and thank you God for just one of your many blessings....the weather! We had a great afternoon spent with family eating and letting the kids dye Easter Eggs. Thank you Mimi for getting your hands in there and helping the kids have a great time. As you can see by the expressions on their faces, they had a blast!

Oh Princess

We are going into a new phase and I love it. Dress Up! Thanks to Aunt Jac and Uncle Mark, Reese has a dress up trunk any girl would dream of. It was her Christmas present. So here we go, crown and wand in hand.
You can never have too many hair bows/clips can you???

Going for Gold (okay, yellow...)

I am a bit late on posting this, but a couple weeks ago Ashton had his first belt test and he PASSED! He went from being a white belt Ninja to a Yellow Belt Ninja. Casey and I were so proud and they had a little belt ceremony for the kids to show off their moves and receive their new belts. Congrats Ashton! We love you and are so proud of you!!
